...Just Another Weekend...

On Friday we went to our friend Ben's wedding dinner/reception up at Snowbasin. That night we played some sand volleyball . On Saturday we took Carson and went swimming at my Grandpa and Grandma's pool. Then we played more sand volleyball. I think that Olympic beach volleyball has inspired our family and friends. I like it, I always have fun when we play. To end our Saturday Matt and Mason went mountain biking.During dinner I kept telling Matt and Mason "Look at that bird outside it just keeps flying there." Then we went outside and... it wasn't realCarson and Matt racing to "number six"

Bear Lake & Raspberry Days

Every year my family goes to Bear Lake for Raspberry days. My dad has a booth for his art work and we hang out at the beach with my aunt, uncles, and cousins. It is always a lot of fun. This year it rained a little but we still had a good time.

Naomi Peak

Last weekend our friends Aaron and Kenzie came up and we hiked to Naomi Peak. We made it to the top just in time for the sunset. It was awesome! Naomi peak is the highest point in the Bear River Range (the mountains that are along the east side of Cache Valley, the ones you drive through to go to Bear Lake) and the view from the top was way cool. It was dark when we hiked down so we used our headlamps. We were going to go camping after but all the campgrounds were full. So we ended up camping out at our house and having a BBQ. It was my kind of camping, I could shower and I slept in my bed. It was a fun weekend.

Matt's Mission President

Matt's mission president came home from Albania in July. He spoke on July 27th in Salt Lake so Matt, Joanne, and I went down to hear his talk. After all of the missionaries went to his house. It was nice to be able to put faces to names. I think most of Matt's mission was there. It was a good time.Matt, President Clayton, and CaseyMost of Matt's Mission

School is out for summer!

Today was my last day of class! I can now enjoy three weeks of summer until fall semester starts. I only had one class this summer but in my opinion that was one to many. I took my Statistics class and my professor was pretty cool so it wasn't that bad of a class (well my final grade may suggest something different). This fall is my last semester of classes and then I student teach in the spring. Yeah.

Matt & the Uinta Mountains

Last week Matt, his brothers (Justin and Jared), his dad Wynn, Ryan Bringhurst, and Jim Quist all hiked Kings Peak. It is the tallest peak in Utah at 13, 528 feet (source: U.S. Geological Survey... yep I am a geology geek). They had a blast backpacking in. These pictures are from Ryan's camera, thanks Ryan.
