24th of July

Matt went off to the Uinta mountains to hike and I had to work on the 24th. Logan had a parade, craft/food booths, bingo, and all that jazz. They also had a deal called 'Pioneer Playground' and that is were I worked. I helped kids make sand bracelets, picture frames, dye their hair, and more wonderful crafts (pretty much enrich their life in a few short hours).
But that night they let us swim at the Aquatic Center after it was closed. I had a blast. It was the life guards party too so that meant there were no rules! We could go a billion people train down the water slides, hang off the diving boards, walk on this rope across the pool, and some people had an air mattress in the pool. Then for the fireworks we put some lawn chairs in the pool and watched the show. It was so fun.

That swirly slide off in the distance is one of the best inventions ever.

Bear Lake

Last weekend after our ward camp out, Matt and I went up to Bear Lake to hang with my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle. My uncle Mark and aunt Kathy have a place (well they used to until the snow caved it in...so I guess its really just land with trailers on it) right on the beach its awesome. Matt and I had some onion rings for lunch and Matt got this really awesome one that looks like a peace sign. I wanted to sell it on ebay. We made shadows that look like eyes.

Ward Camp Out

Last weekend was our ward camp out. Matt and I are the activities chair so we were in charge of cooking breakfast for everyone. The Bishop told us to plan on 15 to 20 people being there. When we got there we realized the Bishop meant 15 to 20 couples so that night while everyone was sleeping we drove back down to Walmart and got more food. The camp out was really fun and I think everyone had a good time. The men cooking breakfast. Yep, hard to believe but I slept in. I don't think the cooks cared... something about guys and the grill.

Summer Job

This summer I have been working for the Logan City Summer Playground. It is free for the parents to drop their kids off from 1-5 at the park. We play games and create a craft everyday. They best day is Friday because we play water games for half of the day. I really like the job. The kids are so funny. Last week we went on a field trip to the Willow Park Zoo (here is Logan). It was so fun. My group had a lot of the littler kids and they would say the funniest things : "I can't believe it...fish only breathe in water"... "that would eat my whole body up." I like going to the zoo.Waiting for the bus to come

Last Last Weekend

So I am a little behind... not this last weekend but the weekend before that Matt and I went down to West Point. Matt played in the Clinton 3 on 3. I went shoe shopping and got a pedicure with my mom (thanks mom I had a lot of fun). Friday night we played volleyball with family and friends at Barnes Park in Kaysville. It was one of the funnest games I have ever played; we had some good laughs. Then Saturday night Matt, Mason, Michelle, and I went to the Real Soccer game. It was an awesome weekend (well two weekends ago).Matt showing his yellow card sign.Michelle, Matt, and Mason.

4th of July

The fourth of July is my favorite holiday! I love everything about it. This 4th of July Matt, Brian (my brother), Nicole (Matt's sister), Greg, and I participated in the West Point 5K Run/WALK. Matt took third and won his division. My goal was to finish. BUT I did win a sweet hamock from the raffle. After the 6:30 am run we went to the West Point Parade. Carson made bank on candy and Matt's brothers soaked half of the parade participants with water balloons. Matt played in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament with Wynn and Jared. My dad had an art booth at the park. Then to end the day Brian, Marci, Brinley, Matt, and I went to the Clearfield fire works. It was way fun to hang out with our families and eat parade candy all day!

New Fork

Last weekend Matt, Wynn, Mason, Jared, and Jim went up to the Wind Rivers with the young men. They hiked, mountain biked, fished, and rafted the river. On the way home they decided to raft the snake river by Jackson Hole. The river was really high and fast. A couple of people had some close calls and almost drowned. After that they decided to come home. Matt said that other than the near drownings they had a good time.

Wedding Pictures

I know that Matt and I got married in January but here are some of the pictures. Our photographer was Robert Wood.

Wasatch Back Relay

On June 20th Matt ran the Wasatch Back Relay. The race is 180.5 miles. It starts in Logan and ends in Park City. The teams usually consist of twelve runners but Matt's team had six because they are crazy. They did really good and placed ninth in their division. Matt said the hardest part was not getting any sleep for two days. Mason and I went to watch Matt run across the finish line but we missed him by 10 minutes. But we still got some good pictures.
