Last Saturday was Matt's mom, Joanne's, birthday. So we headed down to West Point to celebrate. It was fun, all of Matt's brothers and sisters were there. The next day we went to Camper World Hot Springs to spend time with my family. My parents took their new camping trailer out for the first time. Brian, Marci, and Brinley came up for dinner.

Moab
Last weekend we jetted down to Moab. Matt, Michelle, Justin, Jared, Reggie, and I all rode down in the Suburban, while Megan and Robby met us there. We rolled into Moab around 11:00pm and after some searching we found a little patch of grass in a campground to call home. We went to Arches and Canyonlands. It was a fun trip.

Zion National Park
We finished our finals and decided that it was a great time to go on vacation. So Matt, Wynn (Matt's Dad), Robby, Casey, and I all headed down to Zion National Park to do some hiking. The first day we were there we hiked the subway. The nps websites describes the Subway like this "This is a strenuous 9 and one half mile hike requiring rappel skills and 60 feet of rope or webbing. This route also requires swimming through several deep pools of very cold debris filled water." Pools of very cold water was an understatement.
It was a blast, we really enjoyed the hike. Here are some beautiful pictures that Matt took.

I do not like heights at all and this was the last rappel of the hike. Right after this picture was taken I fell into the rock for the second time. I am wearing a wet suit not some really stylish pants.

Proud Owners of a Washer and Dryer
Matt and I are now proud owners of our very own washer and dryer! My dad's boss was moving out of state and mentioned that she had a washer and dryer that she needed to get rid of. So my dad asked how much she was selling them for and next thing you know...we bought them. Last night my dad brought them up and helped install them. They are in good shape and look brand new. The new washer and dryer are Super Capacity Plus which means our bathroom just shrunk a lot. We both think it will be worth it though. Owning our own washer and dryer had to be in the top 25 most exciting moments of my life.

SNOW in May
This was Logan on the morning of May 1st. We were smart and headed south to Zion's National Park as soon as we woke up.

Earth Day on the Quad
Definition: Utah State celebrating Mother Earth on a big open grassy area called the quad
I couldn't get the video to rotate. So you'll just have to tilt your head :)
To join in the festivities on Earth Day the geology club set up a table on the quad. I volunteered to help out for a couple of hours. At our table people could make their very own pet rock. We also set off the hand crafted volcano a couple of times. It was any rock geeks kind of party.
